This is a nice and easy trail with a mix of natural and paved surfaces along the route. The trail can become muddy during wet conditions and waterproof shoes are recommended. There are not many views along the trail, however, there are many opportunities to view wildlife and wildflowers. I made this into an 8.5 mile hike. There is only shade on red and white trails. The Upper Tampa Bay trail is paved and part of a 15 mile trail used a lot for biking. The other trails are pine needles and grass.

The Wildflower Quest will offer an opportunity to visit the trails and seek the many wildflowers in bloom. Last hunt out at 3 p.m. Naturalists on the trails to answer questions. Food available.
