VATS crits are worthless because no one uses flamers in VATS. Slower breaking is actually kinda good, but A/FFR is just better overall. Plus, more damage = faster killing = less shots spent = less degradation :P. I use an enclave flamer with vats, aim at the head and it kils most things in a few hits.

The auto barrel might be considered commando though. Btw it’s worth it. A good enclave flamer build is ridiculous. Definitely requires rifleman though.
