I like to build my lich as an arcane "gish" (using prcs like Eldritch Knight and Hellknight Signifier to get the best BaB and spell progression). The Skeletal Champion that complements that build at best imho is the Marksman. Then I upgrade it with Bard and Fighter. marksman dies less. also archers are wacky.
